Portuguese cuisine

The menu was created by a team of Portuguese chefs and it combines traditional recipes with a modern and creative cuisine. From simple classic recipes to traditional local dishes, the menu focuses mostly on fish and seafood courses.

Depending on the season, every week we bring the best fish and seafood caught on the Portuguese coast of the Atlantic Ocean and on the Azores.

If you want something truly special, you can choose from our aquarium of lobsters, crabs and various kinds of oysters with an incredibly delicate and delicious meat.

Just like any true Portuguese, we at “Dancing Lobster” love   “Bacalhau” , this Atlantic salt-maturated cod recipe which dates back to the 16th century. You can try “Bacalhau com Natas”, a tasty dish, as well as “Pasteis de Bacalhau” or “Bacalhau com Broa”.

For an authentic dessert we recommend the famous “Pastel de Nata” created before the 18th century by the Catholic monks from the Jerónimos monastery, one of the most well-known tourist site in Lisbon.

The taste of each of our Portuguese dishes is enriched when accompanied by a suitable glass of wine, therefore we recommend you take the famous Vinho Verde or Port wine.
